Electric Expo has deep roots in the Philadelphia region, tracing back over 100 years to its origins as a public exhibition. The event was initially launched to spark public interest and understanding of the electric industry—and it did just that. Early Expos featured educational displays, hands-on product demonstrations, and even home-building exhibits to showcase the promise of electrification.
As the industry evolved, so did the Expo. What began as a public-focused event grew into a dynamic trade show serving professionals across the electrical, lighting, and HVAC sectors. From the rollout of fluorescent lighting to the rise of smart energy systems, Electric Expo has continuously adapted to reflect the technologies shaping our world.
Today, Electric Expo remains a vital force in the industry, bringing together manufacturers, contractors, engineers, educators, and students for two high-impact days of discovery, connection, and innovation—continuing a tradition that began more than a century ago.
